The Eco Feria Dominical is the weekly farmers and artist market that occurs every Friday in the town center of Playa Dominical. The market is a great place to obtain all sorts of locally grown fruits and vegetables, with many growers specializing exclusively in organic produce. There is always good food to eat, live music by local musicians and many artists that have locally produced jewelry, wood work carvings and furniture, spices, healing ointments, etc… and many other interesting products.
The Eco Feria is an enjoyable venue to meet local people, both Costa Rican nationals and expat residents, and is just a fun place to pass time eating good food, drinking local coffee and other beverages to just enjoy the moment. Purchasing food products, jewelry and other handcrafted gifts from the vendors at the Eco Feria is a great way to support local artists and food growers.
Note that parking may be difficult to find on the main street in Dominical. There are some local lots near the Feria that charge maybe one or two US Dollars to park a vehicle, but these spaces are limited and fill up fast. The best thing to do if a parking space not available is to just park your vehicle at the beach and then walk back to the market. It’s an enjoyable walk that takes less than 10 minutes from the beach.
